We were able to determine this is a Marine Power 542034 Thermostat Housing.
This cast iron housing is interchangeable with Mercruiser 860256A1, 860256A3, 860256A2, and 860256A4.
It is designed for various 4.3L V6; 5.0L, 5.7L, and 6.2L Small Block V8 motors which are raw water cooled.
